TRD in Paris: exploring the role of taxonomy in health and nature

To celebrate Taxonomy Recognition Day, The National Museum of Natural History in Paris organised a meeting with stakeholders to discuss the role of taxonomy in various fields. The debate focused on its application in health, such as identifying pathogenic bacteria, ticks and mosquitoes, as well as biodiversity management, including the detection and control of invasive species.

The event also included an afternoon roundtable where policy makers and funding agencies engaged with taxonomists to explore opportunities together and address the challenges they face.
