Introducing Taxonomy to Kids: an event to celebrate TRD at the Czech Institute of Botany

The Institute of Botany in the Czech Republic celebrated the Taxonomy Recognition Day with a three day event themed around plants and sugars and with children as the main target audience.

Multiple workshops and hands-on activities took place allowing the children experience with the fun and joy of giving plants names.

TRD was also the occasion to present the first complete Photographic Atlas of Plants of the Czech Republic, a book that will feature around 3100 plant species in over 8000 photographs.
